2022 sees the 30th anniversary of the founding of The Sobell Bridge Club.

Over the past three decades, the Club has donated almost £900k towards Michael Sobell Hospice, through table monies, fundraising, and social events.

During the pandemic, virtual bridge was introduced when Covid-19 interrupted face-to-face sessions, and while this session continues to be open to members and non-members alike, the Club is now up and running ‘in person’ again, and playing weekly on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

The founding principles of The Sobell Bridge Club is to provide recently bereaved with a place to play bridge, and meet like-minded people. It is also open to a broader group of people who want to play, learn, or improve their bridge.
