24/7 Advice & Support | 020 3824 1268

Wednesday 17 January 2018 was a very lucky day for Superdraw supporter Mrs D from Maidenhead, who was delighted when she received a phone call from the lottery office to say that she had won the top prize of £5,000 in The Hospice Lottery Christmas Superdraw.

Our Summer and Winter Superdraws raise extra funds in addition to the weekly draw and this year they have raised just over £82,000. A fantastic achievement and we are so grateful to everyone who takes part.

Mrs D said: “With all the rush and bustle of Christmas I had forgotten all about the draw. So it was a wonderful surprise when I was told I had won the jackpot.  I do try to support the hospice, they were so wonderful when they cared for my sister and then my husband a few years later, the support we all received was incredible.

“So when I received a visit from one of The Hospice Lottery’s door-to-door canvassers, I really wanted to help and thought joining the weekly lottery for only £4.34 a month was a great way to support”.

We are absolutely delighted that Mrs D not only joined the weekly draw but bought Superdraw tickets too, and it was an absolute pleasure to meet her and present the winning cheque.

Mrs D told us that she will be using the money to take her son and his family, including her grandchildren (who have already started to pack), on a holiday to Spain in June.
